Premier Policy Solutions, LLC is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and provides a variety of services in both Louisiana and Washington, DC. Chance McNeely, Principal, started the firm in 2020 to help clients develop and institute substantive and creative policy solutions to their challenges.
McNeely has over a decade of senior-level experience in various levels of government. He has served two members of Congress as a Legislative Aide in Washington, DC., and served as an appointee under two Louisiana Governors.
McNeely served as a policy advisor to Governor Jindal, focused on issues of the DOTD, DEQ, DNR, OMV, LSP, LDWF, CPRA, and LANG. He was later appointed to serve as Assistant Secretary of DEQ’s Office of Environmental Compliance, becoming the youngest Assistant Secretary in the history of the Department.
When Governor Edwards was elected, McNeely was tapped for a senior appointment within the Department of Transportation and Development, where he led various special initiatives including staffing the Governor’s 2016 Task Force on Transportation Infrastructure Investment. He most recently led the state’s trade association for the trucking industry, where he developed a passion for helping public and private entities successfully interface with one another.
In 2019, McNeely was appointed by Governor Edwards to serve as a public board member of the Louisiana Board of Examiners of Psychologists. McNeely is also a board member of the Louisiana Good Roads Association and former executive committee member of the Louisiana Coalition to Fix Our Roads (LCFOR). McNeely is also a former member of the Shrimp Task Force, Water Resource Commission, Crab Task Force, Southern Rail Commission, Louisiana Multimodal Advisory Commission, and the Louisiana Military Advisory Council. McNeely was also instrumental in creating and staffing the Louisiana Trucking Research and Education Council.
With countless hours of public testimony at the capitol, media interviews, and other speaking engagements, McNeely is a skilled communicator known for breaking down complicated issues into simple, relatable terms.
McNeely holds a bachelor's degree in Agribusiness and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Louisiana State University.
He and his wife Ashlee live in Baton Rouge and have two young daughters. They are parishioners of Saint Aloyisius Catholic Church.
